Thirty-five year television production veteran, Daisette M. Harmon’s career continues to expand. Her professional work encompasses various degrees of television production work including technician, trainer, producer, program director and manager.
Currently Daisette is the Scheduling Supervisor for the 21 Century Fox Technical Operations Department located in New York City. In this capacity she is responsible for overseeing around the clock schedules for the global Fox News Channel (FNC) & Fox Business (FBN) Cable Networks. Additionally she is a member of the FNC & FBN Inclusion Council tasked with the goal to enhance the diversity and inclusion footprint across Fox News & Business Channels through key initiatives involving recruitment, employee development & retention and outreach & accountability.
Harmon also provides consulting services under her own company, Video By Dai. Prior to joining 21 Century Fox, she was self-employed for a decade and traveled internationally working as a Video Producer, Videographer, Production Manager creating documentaries, public relations and training videos.
In 1985 after the District of Columbia’s cable franchise award, Daisette was hired to start up the city government’s executive and legislative cable channels. Her public service within the Office of Cable Television & Telecommunications included working with various district government agencies producing informational television programs, hiring staff, developing programming, building out television studios, edit suites and control rooms. She began her professional television career as the Public Access Director for the Comcast Cable Company (formerly Prime/Storer Cable Communications) located in Northern Prince George’s County, Maryland.
Professional memberships include former board member, Women in Film & Video of Washington, DC and current member of the New York Women in Film & Television organizations. Daisette received a Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree in Theatre & Mass Communications from Southern University A&M College and Master of Science degree in Telecommunications from Syracuse University, S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. She has numerous television and video production credits and awards over the past three decades.
From technician to global television network supervisor Harmon’s years of experience has honed her desire to work more closely in developing policy programs utilizing 21st century technology to transform targeted audiences. She is an active 15-year condominium board member for the Powell Plaza Condominium Association and passionate world traveler exploring different cultures and countries.
